Our Expertise

After typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) hit select parts of the Philippines, Loy Espina, Jr. together with a team conducted a week-long rescue and clean-up operation in the heavily devastated Tacloban City.   Inspired by his team and of Taclobanons’ resilience and will to serve, Loy decided to form a pool of rescuers who he envisioned would share their knowledge and skills and continue volunteering works.  True to this commitment, Loy together with his group, regularly teams up with Philippine Red Cross as emergency responder in Manila’s annual feast of the Black Nazarene.

This dedication gave birth to World of Outdoors, a duly registered company under the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission which specializes on delivering training on safety, disaster preparedness and risk management, emergency response, outdoor education, among others.  Believing that anybody -- whatever age and physical condition can protect oneself while responding to the needs of others, he created training programs that would best fit students based on their age or school level.   Companies or organizations can benefit from the different levels of training from the basics of safety to advanced training such as incident command.

Leveraging on Loy’s nine years of experience as Outdoor Director, World of Outdoors is also set to deliver teambuilding activities, leadership and relevant training to schools, organizations, companies -- from ten to thousands of participants, anywhere in the Philippines.

While remaining steadfast in his journey as safety trainer under DOLE O.S.H.C., Loy is an active member of the Philippine Red Cross and Wilderness Search and Rescue (WISAR) Philippines and regularly undergoes training and community services initiated by these organizations.    This ensures that World of Outdoors, under his leadership -- only delivers up-to-date knowledge on safety and outdoor education to its clients, and at the same time fulfill its social responsibility.
